Michael Edwards, 33, who calls the bingo balls at Gala Bingos Nottingham St Anns club, has been named as the companys best bingo caller in the UK.
Mr Edwards, who has been in the bingo industry for six years, picked up the award at yesterdays Gala Bingo “National Caller of the Year” competition at the companys Birmingham Kingsbury Road club.
As well as the kudos associated with his award, Mr Edwards also won £500, a trip for two to Los Angeles and the opportunity to call the balls at a Las Vegas casino.
Mr Edwards is no stranger to winning competitions after winning Galavision, the companys singing competition. He also auditioned for X-Factor but failed to make it to the final stages.
