A LUCKY city man is celebrating after scooping a £50,000 win in a city bingo club. His success came at Gala Bingo, in Westfield Road, Westwood the same venue which saw £100,000 and £200,000 winners last year.
On Monday, June 4, the city man told his wife he was feeling really lucky and they should play bingo that night.
It proved to be one of the best decisions of his life, as he won the national bingo prize of £50,000 after completing a full house in 42 numbers, the lowest call in any of the 500 clubs playing nationwide.
The lucky man, who has asked us not to name him, said: My wife has already compiled a list of the shoes and handbags that shes going to buy now.
The financial advisor added: Its spooky how it happened as we never go on a Monday.
I was completely shocked when I was told I had won, and I couldnt speak for ages. Im still in a bit of a daze actually.
He intends to use the money to treat his two sons and his wifes family, while a celebratory holiday has also been pencilled in. The Westfield Road club has proved extremely lucky for the man before, as he also has a £5,000 win to his name in the past.
